Throughout the years, marijuana became widely used by various cultures as a remedy for a number of medical reasons. As a pro-active supporter for the legalization of medical marijuana, this paper will explore the controversies surrounding the authorization of marijuana as a legitimate medication, the drug’s effectiveness for relieving certain health issues, and the testing of the drug for safe public use. There is a large number of health care representatives that signify a patient’s right to all beneficial treatments and that to withhold the treatment violates their basic human entitlements. With that being said, many believe that people should receive the most efficient and effective treatment necessary to maintain one’s well-being.
